Easter continued

If on this lovely Easter Day you plan on devoting some of your time to the relaxing joys of dying Easter eggs this article is for you.

Chapter II of a Green Easter: natural colour egg dies.

Place the egg in a pan. Cover it with water, add a teaspoon of vinegar and the natural colourant. Bring the water to boil and simmer for 15 minutes.

Remove the egg … BRAVO !


Here are some examples of very accessible natural colourants:

yellow = orange or lemaon peels

brown = strong coffee or black tea

orange = yellow onion skins

pink = beetroot

violet/blue = red wine
